A modest EL has admitted that the top notch award he scooped at the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards should have gone to Shatta Wale if not for the fact that Wale was blacklisted from the award scheme.

Shatta Wale, since he transitioned from Bandana to Shatta Wale has been one of the few consistent artistes of the modern era.

However, after missing out on an award that eventually went to Kaakie during the 2013 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, he went berserk and insulted the organizers and the CEO of Charterhouse in a series of videos and social media posts.

He was consequently banned indefinitely from the VGMAs and to EL, Shatta Wale would have won the Artiste of the Year for probably three consecutive years if he wasn’t banned, including what he (EL) won in 2016.

In fact EL has won our maximum respect for this disclosure. Here’s all that he said;
