Efia Odo has stated in a Twitter post that, although she believes in God, she does not believe His book, same way as she finds it hard to fathom some of the stories in the Bible.

She had made a Tweet asking how Cain was able to marry after he ran away when the Bible has said that, Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel were the only people in the world at the time.

A follower asked her if she was suggesting that the Bible is just a mere storybook and she replied in the affirmative.

Her first reply read; “Yes, with some faith building scriptures and relatable moments.

Then the follower asked again, ‘Very well, so you don’t believe in God?’

Efia Od then comes in and replies, “Believing in God is not the same as believing in the bible. I believe in God.”

Meanwhile, Yvonne Nelson answered some unsettling question Efia Odo has about God…

Efia Odo says she had a call from her mother asking her if she is an atheist all because she had some few unsettling questions to ask about the Bible and its stories.

The actress and TV host asked why God decided to put the apple in the garden if He did not want anyone to eat the apple. She Tweeted; “If God didn’t want us to eat the apple from that tree, then why did He put the tree there in the first place? Pastor -to test my faith. So would u put fire by an innocent child and tell them not to touch it, stand afar and say you’re testing their faith?”

Truth is, many of the things in the Bible is as confusing as ever and the narrative does not get any better. Yvonne Nelson says God’s ways are not ours and we as humans cannot understand HIM. According to the mother of one, God is real because she has felt Him. Her reply to the doubting Thomas Efia Odo.

“His ways aren’t our ways. We will never understand HIM, He made us and gave us a simple command, but we failed Him. We are only human. He understands. He loves us daily still. In all our sins and dirt! Chaa, Hes real ooo. It’s all real. I’ve felt Him so I know!”
